Michael Feinstein Architect, B.Arch. AIA NCARB
A native of Portland, Oregon Michael
Feinstein designed his first building at age 17: a replacement
fashioned for Sunset High School's press box blown down in a storm. He
attended the USC School of Architecture with interest in mixed-use development,
urban design, and computer applications in Architecture.
His career started before he earned his degree working within the hotbed
of expressionist design boutiques in Santa Monica and Venice, California
during the late 1980's. After returning to Portland in 1994
he was project designer at Soderstrom Architects on a series of vibrant
regional multiplex cinemas. At Thompson Vaivoda & Associates
he was project architect for the design of Nike's Tiger Woods Conference
Center and the schematic design of the Fox Tower. More recently
for GBD Architects, he designed M Financial Plaza at the Brewery Blocks,
a mixed-use retail and office combination.
Now, after compiling twenty years of experience as a journeyman architect
on a multitude of project types in western North America & the UAE,
he is pleased to announce the launch of his own firm, Michael Feinstein
Architect.
